WATCH HERE Khuon Laboravy gives his verdicts on the yesterday’s defeat. The champions of Cambodia, Boeung Ket FC, lost 0-3 to Johor Darul Ta’zim FC for the second time last night in AFC Cup Group F as they were also beaten 3-0 by their yesterday’s opponents in the Group F’s opener away from home on 21 February 2017. Following yesterday’s home defeat, the Blue Dragons’ hope to progress from the group stage has come to an end despite one match left. Boeung Ket FC were seen lack of creativeness in the midfield that left their main forward, Khuon Laboravy, who scored his first AFC Cup group-stage goal against Magwe FC on 05 April 2017, with few chances and balls in their opponents’ dangerous area. Plus the 28-year-old forward was a bit slow with the ball, the Blue Dragons could create very few dangerous chances in the yesterday’s match. In the post-match press conference, Khuon Laboravy praised the Malaysia’s sides as they displayed good team work and controlled the possession well with short passes. “We played much with the balls in the air and long balls, so unlike Johor [Darul Ta’zim FC] who could play short passes well.” The skipper said that his opponents pressed hard that couldn’t allow his sides to control the ball easily or create space. “They played well as a team, so it’s hard for us to move, create space, and press them. It’s hard to create chances to score as they displayed a good team work, and they didn’t allow us to have the ball or create space.” The left-footed forward revealed why the champions of Cambodia couldn’t break the deadlock against the visitors. “We were lack of creating chances upfront. We played much with the ball [in the second half], but we could create few chances.” Boeung Ket FC will play their last AFC Cup match away from home on 03 May 2017 against the current Group F’s leader, Global FC, who defeated them 2-0 in the first leg on 07 March 2017.
