Cambodia U15’s forward, Sieng Chanthea, felt pleased to score a hat-trick to inspire the young KoupreyBlues a comfortable 4-0 win over Philippines U15 last night, and it is the young KoupreyBlues first victory in Group B of the AFF U15 Championship in Thailand after a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Vietnam in the Group B’s opener.
Sieng Chanthea opened the scoring to take the young KoupreyBlues the lead just nine minutes into the first half. Chanthea scored again to double the young KoupreyBlues’ lead just six minutes after his first goal before Darapich made it 3-0 before the break. The young forward completed his hat-trick in the forty-ninth minute to secure the young KoupreyBlues three points following a comprehensive 4-0 win over Philippines U15.
Despite scoring a hat-trick and winning 4-0 over Philippines U15, Sieng Chanthea has warned his sides that they should not be too happy, but need to focus on the next matches.
Sieng Chanthea told BTVNews: “I am very happy to score a hat-trick and help Cambodia U15 beat Philippines U15 4-0. We will have a tough task against Malaysia U15. We should not be too happy, so we need to be more focused on the next matches.”
Following a hat-trick, Sieng Chanthea is now the top goal scorer of the tournament with four goals, and tomorrow the forward and his young KoupreyBlues will take on Timor Leste U15 in their third Group B’s match.
