Tigers’ giant forward on his match winner against EDC
Cambodian Tiger FC earned their third league victory last weekend following a tough 1-0 win over Electricite du Cambodge FC at home. The Tigers’ giant forward, Okereke Timothy Chiemerie, scored the only goal of the match in the 23rd minute to secure the home sides other three essential points.
Okereke Timothy Chiemerie, who joined Cambodian Tigers FC from CMAC United FC at the beginning of this season, was very pleased with his goal that won his sides 3 points at home last weekend.
Okereke Timothy Chiemerie told TheMorning via Messenger: “I was really excited after scoring the only goal in the game that gave my team a victory over Electricite du Cambodge FC.”
The forward who scored a big goal to secure the Tigers a point from a 1-1 draw with the current league leader, Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC, the week before last week refused to receive all the credit alone as he insisted that his goal came in from the team work not individual one.
Okereke Timothy Chiemerie told TheMorning via Messenger: “It was a collective effort of the team. Though I scored the goal, it was team work.”
Timothy has now scored 4 league goals and provided 3 assists for Cambodian Tiger FC after MCL Match-day 10.
