Sam Vandeth gives his verdicts on last night’s draw with Cambodian Tiger FC
Coach Sam Vandeth has given his thoughts on a 1-1 draw with Cambodian Tiger FC at home last night. Despite a draw, Coach Sam Vandeth’s sides are still unbeaten in the league and top of the current league table and are also the only C-league sides not to encounter any defeat so far this season with six wins and three draws.
Chidera took the home sides the lead following an easy tap-in in the 14th minute, but Cambodian Tiger FC’s giant forward, Okereke Tymothy, headed home from the far post to draw level after receiving a great ball from Dzarma Bata’s cross just one minute before the half-time break.
Coach Sam Vandeth of Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC shared his opinion on the match that both sides had put much effort into the match.
Coach Sam Vandeth told TheMorning via Messenger: “For last night’s match, we put a lot of hard work, but what is important is that they also tried really hard to win.”
It’s a tough match for both sides, and Coach Sam Vandeth also discussed the issues the home sides encountered in the second half.
Coach Sam Vandeth told TheMorning via Messenger: “It’s not an easy match, and we had some problems in the second half. So the opponents had several chances to attack; unlike in the first half that we could completely control the match. Some of our foreign players had health problems, so when we played them, they could not score or give out their best.”
The head coach believed that a 1-1 draw is an acceptable result for both sides, but apologized his fans as Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC couldn’t collect all three points at home.
Coach Sam Vandeth told TheMorning via Messenger: “I think it’s not a bad result, as we know there is a win, draw, or loss, so we can accept the result. If we don’t prepare well, it’ll cause us a problem. It’s a good match as both sides put much effort into the match. I apologize the fans as we couldn’t get the best result from the match and thank for their supports.
“Lastly, I am sad that we can’t get three points at home, and this makes our fans unhappy. But we will try to improve for the upcoming matches.”
